My Style:

My style is fun, laid back and very relaxed.  Although I do some "posed" shots I also love to capture life as is, unscripted! 

I am a natural light on location non-traditional photographer located in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, Canada.  Residing with my wonderful husband and our three beautiful children, life is busy and full of memories.  I enjoy capturing these memories, not only for myself but for my children as they grow and change so fast.  I love to try new things and love the hands on experiences life seems to offer daily around here.  I also enjoy exploring various forms of art including charcoals, pastels and watercolors.  I studied film photography in college, and once I stepped into that darkroom I was hooked.  I knew that this was going to be a life long passion and something that I would love to explore further. I have, and always will, have a huge passion for anything "art". I have discovered that Photography, out of all the art forms I have explored, is the one I am most passionate about.

After I bought my first digital SLR camera, I began to study and refine the beautiful art of Digital Photography.  To me, Photography is a way to look back, and remember the moments that we may have otherwise forgotten.  I enjoy capturing all the little details of life for you from you child's missing tooth to their little hands and feet.  Have you ever looked at a picture and become lost in it for a moment?  Have you ever seen a picture and thought “Wow I wonder what ever happened to that special toy I never left home without” or "were my feet really that small?".  It’s these detailed pictures with emotion that touch our hearts, which matter most.  I strive to bring you these irreplaceable detailed memories.

With life passing by at its exhilarating pace, we sometimes wonder where the days have gone.  With the art of photography we are given a beautiful gift, a gift of a precious memory being frozen in time.  I love to freeze time for you, even if it’s only for a picture.  It will be a picture that will give a lifetime of memories.  These memories are priceless not just to you, but also to your children, and the entire family.
